These filter retainers and adapters are used in conjunction with the 3M™ 6000 Series cartridges as well as certain particulate filters. The 501 retainer is used with the 3M™ 5N11 or 5P71 filters to attach them to the cartridges. The 502 adapter is used with the 2000 series or 7093 filters to “piggy-back” the filters onto the cartridges.
