Norton’s high performance diamond tools are for truing and dressing conventional and superabrasive wheels. They are used in straight, step, radius, and form dressing applications. These diamond tools contain a higher concentration of diamond than that found in standard multi-point tools, making them well suited for Norton SG applications. These tools are typically used on large angle-head cylindrical machines, grinding shoulders, faces and bearing diameters. Also used on cylindrical machines used for grinding main bearings and lobes on cam shafts and centerless machines that plunge grind on multi-diameter shafts.
• Used on wheel diameters up to 20” and grit sizes from 120 to 150
• Shank length: 1-1/4”
• Shank diameter: 7/16”
