The 893 3M high performance filament tape has a polypropylene backing reinforced with continuous glass yarn. Typical 300 lb/in. width tensile strength with aggressive adhesive for low unit cost, medium-duty closure, reinforcing, and holding. Polypropylene backing is easy to handle and dispense. Provides excellent resistance to nicks, abrasion and moisture. Specially formulated hot melt adhesive provides good balance of adhesion properties: good initial and long-term adhesion and high shear strength to package surfaces.
